BSL Teaching Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled BSL Teaching Assistant to join our team at a prestigious deaf school in Greenwich, South London. The successful candidate will have a minimum British Sign Language Level 2 qualification and experience working with children or in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with partial to no hearing in a 1:1 setting
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement effective communication strategies
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to ensure students receive a high-quality education
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students as needed
Requirements:
  • BSL Level 2 qualification is essential
  • BSL Level 3 or Higher is desirable with additional responsibility available
  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational environment is ideal
