Capital Markets Associate

We are seeking a skilled Capital Markets Associate to join our Client & Capital Strategy team at Buckden Partners.

This role focuses on deal profitability modelling and Client Plan development to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience in portfolio monitoring, risk-weighted asset management, and profitability reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse client and capital initiatives across EMEA, including deal approvals and sector reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office to create Client Plans and profitability models for the Deal Approval Committee.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in client and deal profitability, offering insights to support decision-making.
  • Assess client and portfolio profitability, sharing recommendations with the CPM team and Front Office.
  • Document and distribute deal approval minutes, track action points, and report outcomes to Senior Management.
  • Partner with the CPM Client Analytics team to design and produce client and portfolio dashboards.

Qualifications:

  • Banking experience with a focus on capital markets.
  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical skills and proficiency in financial modelling.
  • Familiarity with banking products and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for drafting materials and presentations.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and data manipulation abilities.
  • Team player and self-starter with strong communication skills.
