Job Title: Sonobuoys Production Lead
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to join our team as a Sonobuoys Production Lead. This is a key role within our Ultra Maritime UK Sonobuoys Business, bridging both in-service production and support and development of product enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Support: Provide engineering support to production, covering supply chain and production issues, leading on production acceptance activities through range testing, and assessing production and range failures.
- Engineering Lead: Lead on product design maintenance for in-service Sonobuoys, including resolution of obsolescence, maintenance of drawings/documentation, and presentation of design changes and modifications to customers.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers for Sonobuoy use and the systems they work with, including leading on ad-hoc customer tasking such as design studies and trade studies.
Requirements:
- Foundation in Systems Engineering: A foundation in Systems Engineering with an understanding of Software Engineering and ideally a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in Engineering Management: Experience of producing engineering schedules with dependencies, engineering estimation, and management of risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, and opportunities.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrable success of engineering management and team leadership, with an appreciation of complex engineering in a regulated industry and experience of leading development across the product lifecycle.
