About the Role
Hatched Recruitment UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Commissioner for Homeless Prevention to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for commissioning new supported accommodation for residents who are homeless or rough sleeping with multiple complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver commissioning requirements that underpin local and national homeless prevention and rough sleeping strategies, policies, and good practice.
- Lead and direct commissioning initiatives aligned to our commissioning intentions and manage a portfolio of commissioned services to maximize positive outcomes.
- Develop and implement market development strategies with providers to assist people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- Effectively manage commissioning, contracting, monitoring, and redesign of services across Benefits and Housing Needs, ensuring value for money and improving outcomes for residents who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or rough sleeping with a focus on those with support needs.
- Deliver an efficient, high-quality, and customer-focussed service for a diverse client group, including high numbers of vulnerable and disadvantaged households.
Requirements
- Lead responsibility and accountability for the effective creation, management, performance monitoring, and direction of a portfolio of strategic commissioning contracts and partnerships.
- Strong understanding of commissioning and contracting processes, including market development and service redesign.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including providers, residents, and community groups.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions to improve outcomes for vulnerable populations.
- Strong business acumen and ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
