Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection Manager to join our team at Staysure Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our data protection policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain data protection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
- Manage the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) and provide training and guidance on data protection practices to colleagues.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Handle data subject access requests (DSARs) and other rights requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Oversee data breach management and reporting to ensure that all incidents are properly documented and addressed.
- Develop a privacy monitoring plan to ensure ongoing compliance with data protection regulations.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect our data and systems.
- Monitor and assess security risks to ensure that our data and systems are secure.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure that data security is integrated into all aspects of our business.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and other relevant ISO standards.
- Lead and manage data protection and information security projects to ensure that our data and systems are protected.
- Proven experience in a data protection role, preferably in insurance or financial services.
- Indepth knowledge of GDPR and UK data protection laws and information security practices.
- Experience with ISO 27001 and other relevant ISO standards.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Familiarity with AI technologies and their implications for data privacy and security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
