Service: Out of Hours (OOH)

Compensation: £48 - £58 per hour

Shifts: Primarily weekends, evenings, and overnight, with some weekdays


Role Overview:

The OOH Clinician will deliver a high-quality service for minor injuries and illnesses to patients at Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC). This role is independent and autonomous, supported by a collaborative team of Nurses and General Practitioners (GPs). You may also be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to Band 6 and student Emergency Nurse Practitioners, assisting in their training, development, and management.


Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate effective self-management, and show proficiency as an experienced ENP in the field of minor injury and illness management.


Familiarity with Adastra is essential, as you will be required to complete training on this system prior to commencing your duties.


If you are prepared to drive for mobile shifts, please ensure you have a valid driver's license to facilitate insurance for operating service vehicles.


You should be capable of consulting with patients across all age groups, including pediatric cases.


Documentation Required:

Interested candidates must provide the following documentation: CV, V300 Prescriber evidence, Minor Injury Level 7 certification, Minor Illness Level 7 certification, DBS check, identification, immunization records, and proof of up-to-date mandatory training.


Preferred Experience:

Experience in the following areas will be advantageous: evidence of X-Ray competencies, suturing skills, palliative care experience, and catheterization skills/certificates for both male and female patients.
