The Governance Lead will work closely with the Head of Nursing and Quality to develop and implement quality governance processes within the Directorate. This will ensure a comprehensive framework is in place to monitor and improve the quality of care, with a focus on patient safety and staff well-being.

The post holder will take a facilitative approach, empowering others to drive quality improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of openness and transparency. They will work collaboratively with service users, carers, and staff to develop and implement effective quality governance processes.

The Governance Lead will be responsible for ensuring that quality data is triangulated and validated, and that lessons learned from incidents and complaints are shared and embedded across the Directorate. They will also lead the Directorate in gathering evidence of compliance with CQC key lines of enquiry.

Main duties of the job:

  • Support the Head of Nursing and Quality in ensuring a comprehensive framework is in place to monitor and improve the quality of care.
  • Develop and implement quality governance processes within the Directorate.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and staff to develop and implement effective quality governance processes.
  • Ensure that quality data is triangulated and validated.
  • Lead the Directorate in gathering evidence of compliance with CQC key lines of enquiry.
