Wellbeing Lead Job Description

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Wellbeing Lead to join a local school in Bournemouth. This is a non-teaching opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of young people with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the SENCo to guide the strategic direction and growth of Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision in the Academy.
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies to uphold best practices and provide optimal assistance to vulnerable pupils and those with SEN.
  • Assist the Principal and Academy Advisory Committee in shaping SEN policy and provision.
  • Monitor progress of SEN pupils, evaluate teaching effectiveness, and use data to inform resource allocation and improvement strategies.
  • Coordinate provision for SEN pupils through collaboration with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure continuity of support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field is desirable.
  • Previous experience of working in a SEN setting.
  • Experience in developing and implementing SEN policies and strategies.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
