The Project

As a Senior Commercial Manager within our Transportation Business Unit, you will play a critical role in the management of commercial aspects of transportation projects and programs. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering best-value solutions and high standards throughout the supply chain.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support Associate/Project Directors with cost management and contract performance reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Manage procurement of projects, including preparing contract and tender documentation, to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Prepare and manage contract documentation, negotiating with contractors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Present cost reports, including monthly performance reviews, to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Advise the Project Manager on the administration of NEC contracts, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Assist the Project Manager across all functions and project delivery, providing commercial expertise and guidance.
  • Act under delegated authority from the Project Manager, making informed decisions to drive project success.
  • Assess and advise on amounts due under contract, ensuring accuracy and robustness of interim and final assessments.
  • Work with contractors to achieve agreed final assessments, where possible, and ensure compliance with contractual frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, and products, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes, ensuring seamless project delivery and commercial success.
