Exciting Opportunity for a Company/Corporate and Contracts & Commercial Lawyer/Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Company/Corporate and Contracts & Commercial Lawyer/Solicitor to join our ambitious and high-performing legal team within the Chief Executive's Group. The legal team provides a comprehensive and efficient legal service to officers, the Executive, full Council, its Committees and Members, and external clients including the newly formed Mayoral Combined Authority.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing a range of services across North Yorkshire. As a Company/Corporate and Contracts & Commercial Lawyer/Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to our clients, as well as contributing to the development of our legal services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on company and commercial law matters
  • Assisting in the development of our legal services, including the creation of new policies and procedures
  • Working closely with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of our services
  • Contributing to the development of our legal team, including mentoring and training junior lawyers
