Job Overview
As a dedicated social work professional, you will deliver comprehensive support services to adults in Aberdeenshire. Your role will involve engaging with clients who have intricate needs, developing tailored support strategies that enhance their capabilities, empower them to make informed choices, and assist them in achieving their personal objectives while recognizing and mitigating any vulnerabilities and risks.
You will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and a variety of professionals, as well as other organizations and the broader community. It is essential to comply with all relevant legislation and the policies and procedures of Aberdeenshire Council, ensuring adherence to both statutory and non-statutory obligations.
This position offers flexibility in terms of full-time opportunities, potentially allowing for the integration of this role with another Social Worker position within the Central Community Mental Health Team. This could lead to a combined full-time role of 36.25 hours per week, requiring work across two teams/localities with designated office locations in Aberdeenshire. Specific days for team coverage will be discussed and agreed upon.
This role involves regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults as defined by the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The successful candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or complete a PVG Scheme update check. If you have resided outside the UK for a continuous period of three months or more within the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be necessary. You will be responsible for providing this documentation. A formal job offer and start date will depend on the satisfactory completion of these pre-employment checks.
A minimum of two references is required for this position, with one reference being from your current or most recent employer.
This is a fixed-term position.
