About the Role

Hays Senior Finance is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team in Altrincham. As a key member of the finance function, you will be responsible for producing management accounts, owning the sales ledger and purchase ledger duties, managing cash flow, and supporting the Group Finance Director on key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce management accounts and financial reports
  • Own the sales ledger and purchase ledger duties
  • Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments
  • Support the Group Finance Director on key business decisions
  • Prepare payroll for around 30 staff
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT returns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in finance, preferably with a qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE. You will also need to have experience working in owner-managed SMEs and a true "can-do" attitude. You will be comfortable owning the month-end process, payroll, and board packs, and enjoy business partnering with the wider business.
