Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our team at Didcot Community Hospital in Oxfordshire. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our multidisciplinary team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing patient-centered care and promoting effective discharge management
  • Supervising and supporting ward staff in their day-to-day work and development
  • Providing information, training, and support to promote effective patient care
  • Leading a team of Healthcare Assistants and peers to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Contributing to the monitoring and auditing of standards of care in the ward area
  • Attending multidisciplinary team meetings and sharing key issues with the ward team
  • Working proactively as the ward and bed coordinator to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Being visible and accessible to patients, relatives, and colleagues to work effectively within the team
Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with:

  • Current NMC RN Level One or due to qualify following completion of University degree
  • Evidence of ongoing development and education
  • Rehabilitation skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to demonstrate potential for management and leadership
