Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurses to join our forward-thinking nurse-led team at Didcot Community Hospital in Oxfordshire.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Registered Nurse at our hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a supportive team and committed colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting ward staff in their day-to-day work and development, promoting interdisciplinary team working.
  • Providing information, training, and support to promote effective patient care and discharge from the ward area.
  • Leading Healthcare Assistants and peers to ensure a high standard of patient-centred care.
  • Contributing to the monitoring and auditing of standards of care in the ward area under the direction of the Ward Manager.
  • Attending multidisciplinary team meetings and ensuring key issues are shared across the ward team.
  • Working proactively as the ward and bed coordinator, ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Being visible and accessible to patients, relatives, and colleagues to work effectively within the team.
