About the RoleThe Head of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that aligns with our ambitious growth plans. This role will lead the recruitment efforts across all levels of the organisation, with a strong focus on attracting top-tier talent in the fields of genomics, bioinformatics, data science, and other key areas.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy that supports the company's growth objectives and strengthens its position as a leader in next-generation sequencing.
- Partner with executive leadership to understand workforce needs and forecast future talent requirements in line with business goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment of talent acquisition efforts with the overall business strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the full lifecycle recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Utilise a variety of sourcing methods, including networking, headhunting, partnerships with universities, and leveraging social media and industry events to attract top talent.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, maintaining the company's reputation as an employer of choice.
- Develop and execute employer branding initiatives to enhance the company's visibility and attractiveness to potential candidates.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, career fairs, and networking events to promote the company's mission, values, and career opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling recruitment materials and campaigns.
- Champion diversity and inclusion efforts in the recruitment process, ensuring a diverse pipeline of candidates for all roles.
- Leverage data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make informed decisions.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in recruiting for highly specialised roles, a strong network within the biotech industry, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams in fast-paced, innovative environments.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and at least 8 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within the biotech, life sciences, or technology sectors.
