Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Production Team Leader to join our team at Caterpillar Inc. As a key member of our assembly operations team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of production staff to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of high-quality products that meet customer order deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to meet daily production goals on safety, quality, velocity, and cost targets.
  • Actively coach, guide, and mentor team members to improve their performance and development.
  • Carry out daily communications and deploy training programs to upskill teams using lean methodologies.
  • Proactively resolve issues and generate new ideas for assigned areas using the Continuous Improvement (CI) process to improve quality, effectiveness, and safety.
  • Audit and drive defect investigations to ensure high-quality product outputs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements within assembly processes.
  • Possess a good understanding of assembly operations practices and processes.
  • Experience of the Built-In Quality process, reporting defects, and root cause analysis.
  • Be flexible and support extra hours if required and willing to work on a multi-shift pattern.
  • Previous people development and performance management experience.
  • 6 Sigma/Project management.
