About the Role

We are currently seeking a Safety Assurance Specialist to become a part of our Engineering team.

In addition to possessing strong technical skills, the role necessitates the capability to conceptualize, develop, support, and maintain safety processes that not only ensure top-tier safety assurance but are also efficient and practical in a competitive and high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on internal safety systems and their operational context.
  • Identify and define the evidence needed to demonstrate that recognized hazards have been effectively mitigated.
  • Analyze and respond to time and cost constraints to construct robust safety cases supported by appropriate evidence.
  • Prepare and deliver various forms of technical documentation, including but not limited to Safety Case Reports, Hazard Analysis, Functional Failure Analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in applying UK and International system engineering processes.
About You

As a Safety Assurance Specialist, your qualifications and skills will include:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • A comprehensive understanding of how hazard analysis and safety evaluation processes integrate with system engineering.
  • Strong grasp of safety and system engineering processes.
  • Decision-making capabilities.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience in engineering complex weapon systems.
  • Good knowledge of intricate electronic systems.
  • Progress towards or achievement of Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.
  • Confidence in presenting to various internal stakeholders.
