About the Role:

The Safety Assurance Specialist will be responsible for delivering safety analysis that enables the integration of our products onto new platforms. This will involve working closely with internal teams, as well as external contractors and customers, to define safety boundaries and develop safety management plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hazard analysis, functional failure analysis, and safety architecture development
  • Liaise with stakeholders to define safety boundaries and develop safety management plans
  • Assist in the production of safety case reports and hazard analysis
  • Work with systems teams to demonstrate satisfaction of safety requirements
  • Develop and maintain safety management plans that meet DEF-STAN and international standards

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of UK and International system engineering processes, particularly in safety-related systems and safety assessment processes
  • Thorough understanding of how hazard analysis integrates with system engineering to influence design
  • Ability to deliver supporting information, including safety case reports and hazard analysis
  • Detailed electronic engineering experience is highly desirable
  • Good verbal, written communications, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
