Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Systems Engineer to join our Assured Position Navigation and Timing (APNT) Engineering team. This role is pivotal in developing Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems and Alternative Navigation Solutions tailored for military applications.

The successful candidate will act as the Design Authority, guiding the technical direction throughout the product lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to testing, qualification, and production release.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineering Manager APNT, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership and direction for the engineering team, ensuring design authority for assigned products.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to support customer engagement and technical strategy discussions.
  • Lead the technical input for bids and proposals, producing engineering estimates to facilitate new business acquisition.
  • Work closely with customers and the Systems Engineering team to define and manage technical requirements throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Engage with a team of experienced designers and industry experts to resolve complex technical challenges related to GPS Anti-Jam Products.
  • Oversee all technical design reviews and ensure compliance with qualification, verification, validation, and certification standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their development and contributing to the team's overall success.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience in product development at a leadership level.
  • Strong understanding of high-speed digital design and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with RF concepts and techniques for analog signals.
  • Experience in circuit design, including exposure to FPGA or DSP control.
  • Demonstrated success in systems engineering principles and product qualification.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Degree in a relevant STEM field or equivalent industry certification.
  • Eligible for SC security clearance.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience as a Design Authority in hardware product development.
  • Knowledge of firmware development and industry-standard design tools.
  • Understanding of GNSS systems and their characteristics.
