About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Structural Trainee CAD Technician to join our dynamic design team at AKT II in London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of general CAD drawings using Revit/AutoCAD and other proprietary design software in accordance with our CAD procedure.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines in the development and finalization of CAD drawings/models.
  • Support the wider team and adhere to the BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria as per company guidelines.
  • Comply with project IMS, CDM regulations, and other relevant safety and environmental legislation.
  • Assist in the production of project documentation and manage the AKT II drawing control and filing systems.
  • Utilize client-based intranet and common data environment sites to upload and retrieve drawings.
  • Provide day-to-day support to the wider engineering team.
Requirements
  • No experience is necessary, but the position is ideally suited to school leavers at BTEC National Diploma or A-Level standard (or equivalent) or an engineering degree - preferably STEM subjects.
  • Demonstrate an interest in and a desire to pursue a career in building engineering.
  • Commit to continued education and improvement through on-the-job learning and training opportunities.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and think methodically to design, plan, and organize parts of projects.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to work in a team environment.
