Job Description: DataOps Engineer - Regulatory Focus

As a DataOps Engineer specializing in regulatory data management, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data used for regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with development teams, operational teams, and stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that adhere to strict regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive toolkits and frameworks for regulatory data analysis, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Analyze regulatory data requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Map data assets to relevant regulatory frameworks and policies.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize controls to monitor, report on, and remediate potential risks related to regulatory data integrity (timeliness, completeness, accuracy).
  • Create and manage efficient regulatory data delivery pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow between systems.
  • Automate critical regulatory data management processes such as extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Contribute to the overall Enterprise Data Strategy and ensure its successful integration into regulatory data deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Strategy DevOps team on shared initiatives.
  • Implement robust data security measures to protect sensitive regulatory information.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with upstream, horizontal, and downstream teams.
  • Manage relationships with senior stakeholders across various departments.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and a strong understanding of relational databases.
  • Experience designing and developing data pipelines, with a focus on regulatory data management.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and experience working within the AWS ecosystem (S3, Glue, DMS, CLI, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as QlikSense, Power BI, or similar.
  • Ability to establish database connections and effectively troubleshoot related issues.
  • Experience analyzing trading platform data to understand order and trade lifecycle events.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough data validation checks and identify discrepancies.
  • Proven ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and pay meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and forward-thinking mindset.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices.
