Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Specialist

London Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Medicines Management Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across our organization.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the drug packing of the Medicines Packing Unit to ensure compliance with best practice standards.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the Medicines Packing Unit.
  • Support the development and delivery of medicine management training for staff.
  • Supervise and undertake risk management and clinical governance activities within the Medicines Packing Unit.
Requirements:
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • NVQ3 or BTEC in pharmaceutical science or equivalent.
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician qualification.
  • Experience developing and writing SOPs, supporting staff with training, managing staff, and undertaking research activities.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience of delivering induction and competency-based training.
  • Experience in financial management.
