About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-established SEN school in West Yorkshire.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing individualized support and creating a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with small groups of pupils and provide individualized support to students with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, and provide feedback to students.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN, including behavior management and communication techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or in a school setting (desirable).
  • Ability to work 5 days a week.
  • Experience working with students with SEN (desirable).
  • Passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils.
  • Empathy, patience, and a caring approach.
  • Creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils.
  • Basic knowledge of core subjects.
