Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in West Drayton. The successful candidate will provide support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN in a variety of settings, including classrooms and one-to-one sessions
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for pupils with SEN
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils with SEN, promoting their social, emotional, and academic well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for pupils with SEN
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, preferably in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and other support staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Knowledge of SEN legislation and policies, including the SEND Code of Practice
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
