Job Summary

Coveris - Winsford is a leading global manufacturer of innovative packaging solutions. We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our production operations team in the following areas:

  • Stretch Extrusion
  • Blown Extrusion
  • DPM (Damp Proof Membrane) Extrusion

This role involves working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with a paid 1-hour lunch break and 2 x paid 15-minute breaks per shift. In addition, employees are contracted to work an additional 3 x 'summer cover' shifts between June and September each year, which are paid at 1.5x their normal shift rate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for the production of polythene film products to the required customer specification on production line(s).
  • Completion of order and blend changes.
  • Carry out and accurately record quality control checks, taking remedial action where required.
  • Working to work tickets and job specification sheets, and accurately completing all production-related controlled documents, ensuring compliance to customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification and sufficient for customer expectation.
  • Maintenance of housekeeping and hygiene standards.
  • Completion of duties in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Completion of ad-hoc duties to meet the needs of the business, subject to appropriate training.
