Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Corby. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components for our clients.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading provider of mechanical engineering services in the area. You will be part of a close-knit design team, working on a variety of projects from initial conception to installation.
Key Responsibilities:- Designing whole machinery as well as individual components
- Offering a "cradle to grave" solution
- Using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Lite
- Producing both 3D and 2D drawing (With a large focus on 3D)
- Attending site visits and consulting clients to understand project requirements
- Creating detailed workshop drawings and overseeing the fabrication process
- Managing multiple projects and ensuring timely delivery
- Collaborating with clients and internal teams to plan installations
- Previous use of SolidWorks, or a similar CAD Package
- A general understanding of engineering principles and the ability to problem solve
- Experience within the food processing, conveyor systems or sheet metal industry
- Experience designing SPM and building prototypes
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage your own workload
- Competitive salary package - £35k - £45K Depending on experience
- More qualified candidates would be welcome to apply, and a more competitive salary would be discussed if additional experience can be brought to the role
- Office-based role, however flexible working can be offered
- Early finish on a Friday: 8am – 5pm (Mon-Thu), 8am – 4pm (Fri)
- 24 days of annual leave + bank holidays, with an additional day for every 3 years of service
