Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading provider of mechanical engineering services. You will be part of a close-knit design team, working on a variety of projects from initial conception to installation.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Lite
- Produce 3D and 2D drawings, with a focus on 3D
- Attend site visits and consult with clients to understand project requirements
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to plan installations
- Manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery
- Previous use of SolidWorks or a similar CAD package
- General understanding of engineering principles and problem-solving skills
- Experience within the food processing, conveyor systems, or sheet metal industry
- Experience designing SPM and building prototypes
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage own workload
- Competitive salary package - £35k - £45K depending on experience
- Early finish on a Friday: 8am – 5pm (Mon-Thu), 8am – 4pm (Fri)
- 24 days of annual leave + bank holidays, with an additional day for every 3 years of service
