About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team at BSI. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of gas products and appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of gas products and appliances to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of BS EN standards related to domestic boilers, cookers, and fires, as well as commercial catering and heating appliances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues and implement process improvements.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.

Requirements:

  • BTEC/HNC (or equivalent) in a discipline related to mechanical engineering, chemistry, or physics.
  • Experience in testing gas products/appliances in a lab environment or for a manufacturer.
  • Awareness of BS EN standards related to domestic boilers, cookers, and fires, as well as commercial catering and heating appliances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
