Key Responsibilities: Collaborate on the design of systems and components for advanced naval vessels Conduct functional design tasks, including modeling and analytical assessments Generate design documentation, verification and validation records, and safety justifications Assist in the specification, qualification, and procurement of components, engaging with suppliers Participate in peer reviews and checks to uphold engineering governance standards Required Skills and Experience: Proficiency in the design and specification of rotating machinery, including gears, shafts, bearings, and couplings (experience with electrical machines is a plus) OR Expertise in fluid systems design, covering compressible and incompressible fluid systems, thermodynamics, heat transfer, pumps, and control valves Knowledge of pressure vessel design and standards (ASME BPVC, PD 5500, EN 13445, etc.) Understanding of the engineering lifecycle from concept through to disposal Chartered engineer status or actively pursuing professional accreditation Benefits:

About the Propulsion Team:
As a member of the Propulsion team, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of propulsion systems for major naval projects, as well as specifying and supporting the procurement of propulsion equipment.
