Sandberg is seeking an experienced Geologist to join our Geomaterials Department in London. The successful candidate will work with a well-qualified team to assess and advise on materials-related issues for high-profile projects and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct microscopical analysis of natural and man-made materials.
- Investigate and test construction materials, including natural and man-made substances.
- Assist with on-site testing and investigations.
- Laboratory testing to ensure materials comply with specifications.
- Client liaison and project management.
- Collate and analyse test data, preparing reports.
- Mineralogical and elemental analysis using SEM and XRD.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar industry.
- Good degree in Geology or Materials Science, with knowledge of construction materials.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Dynamic work ethic to learn and develop new skills.
- Ability to work professionally as part of a team.
- Good IT skills.
- Full UK or EU driving licence.
