We are a leading provider of financial services to the construction industry, and we are seeking an experienced Financial Director to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to lead our financial operations and drive business growth. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a set of monthly management accounts, actuals and forecast, including a detailed profit loss, balance sheet analysis and cash flow for each site and the Group as a whole.
  • Investigate and explain variances in the management account compared to forecast.
  • Manage the Group's treasury function, including reconciliation of bank statements, processing ad hoc and bacs payments and receipts.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsibility for preparation and submission of HMRC returns (VAT, PAYE, CIS,) and any relevant queries arising.
  • Weekly KPI reporting - including sales performance and short-term cash flow.
  • Manage annual audit and preparation statutory returns.
  • Develop and improve systems to support operational efficiency across the organisation.

Requirements
