Electrical & Electronic Test Engineer

Expleo Group is seeking a skilled Electrical & Electronic Test Engineer to support our customer in Cranfield, UK, on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and testing of HILS systems for Body Electronics and Powertrain systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. HILS/Labcar Testing: Conduct HILS testing on the Electrical Integrated Platform and manage HILS testing activities.
  2. System Development: Support/lead the development of HILS systems for Body Electronics and Powertrain systems, collaborating with test and design departments to resolve issues.
  3. Test Planning and Execution: Create test plans to meet project and design milestones, develop testing procedures, and arrange test parts and vehicle transportation as required.
  4. Technical Expertise: Serve as the focal technical point for all HILS-related matters with Japanese counterparts, providing technical support and guidance on functional, performance, and reliability validation.

Requirements:

  1. Strong understanding of electrical theory and the operation of electronic devices.
  2. Fluent in written and verbal English.
  3. Experience with software application into automotive ECUs in a manufacturing environment, including flashing, coding/configuration, and calibration.
  4. Ability to risk assess software modifications and develop appropriate test plans.
  5. Knowledge of network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  6. Proficiency in using D-Space, CANalyzer, CAPL, CANoe, CANape, Matlab, or similar software for data capture, analysis, and test procedure execution.
  7. Ability to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections.
  8. Familiarity with digital oscilloscopes and basic electrical test equipment.
