Key Responsibilities- Work closely with students on a one-on-one basis, providing tailored support to meet their unique mental health needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement strategies that promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Be a calming presence during challenging situations, offering immediate support and helping students navigate difficult emotions.
- Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on students' progress and collaborating on strategies for continued support at home.
- Work in classrooms supporting Teachers and fellow Teaching Assistants.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a mental health or educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion and empathy for the well-being of children.
- Experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
