About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Newmarket. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active Support: Provide individualized support to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Health and Well-being: Assist with health-related tasks, such as medication management and personal care.
  • Domestic Support: Help with household chores, meal preparation, and cooking.
  • Leisure Activities: Accompany individuals on outings, such as cooking classes and sailing, to promote socialization and enjoyment.
  • Independence Promotion: Support individuals in developing their skills and abilities, enabling them to live independently.
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Relationship Building: Develop positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Passion for Disability Support: A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Resilience and Patience: The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, remaining patient and resilient when faced with challenging situations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Teamwork: A willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
