About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our team at Altia, a fast-paced global software provider. As a trusted technology partner, we empower government agencies, public sector organizations, and private companies with actionable intelligence solutions to combat complex crimes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the product development lifecycle to deliver maximum value to customers and the business.
  • Engage with Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams to understand current and future value propositions for the product.
  • Contribute to competitor analysis and product benchmarking activities.
  • Work with the Product Planning Team Leader to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Product.
Product Planning & Design
  • Engage with the development team to estimate the size and complexity of work items on the backlog prior to development.
  • Define, agree upon, and document customer expectations and product scope at the start of implementation, while balancing changes with delivery timelines and budget constraints.
Product Development
  • Fulfill the Product Owner role within an agile scrum development team by ensuring that the development team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks ready to work on along with clear goals/priorities for each sprint.
  • Resolve any arising issues relating to work scope or requirements identified by the development team during a sprint/release.
  • Manage the status and progress of work within an Agile Backlog Management tool (Azure DevOps) creating appropriate reporting as necessary.
Requirements
  • Domain experience with government law enforcement, blue light agencies, and/or investigative collection techniques used to support an evidential case.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, understanding the agile software development lifecycle, and associated epics, features, user stories, and tasks.
  • Strong commercial awareness and appreciation for the return of investment associated with their product.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with excellent emotional intelligence.
