Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our dynamic Regulatory, Construction, and Disputes Team. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive legal guidance and support to our operations, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks associated with construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a variety of legal tasks, including the evaluation, formulation, negotiation, and advisory on construction and property agreements.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts for architects and consultants, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Advise on legal issues pertinent to the residential construction sector.
  • Provide insights on construction litigation and manage relationships with external legal representatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior legal professionals within the team.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Group Legal Team.
  • Collaborate with senior legal professionals and the Group Head of Legal on intricate projects.

Qualifications Required:

  • A minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • A proactive and confident approach to legal challenges.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance risks effectively.
  • Experience in private practice is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently as required.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple tasks and deliver under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational and drafting skills.
  • Proficient in IT with a willingness to develop internal training initiatives.
