Job Title: Children's Support Worker

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Children's Support Worker. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young adults with emotional, behavioural, social, and mental health challenges.

About the Role:

As a Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young people. Your duties will include:

  • Encouraging young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives.
  • Maintaining a homely and friendly culture within the home.
  • Dealing with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner.
  • Protecting children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Providing support for young people and promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for young people.
  • Ensuring the safety of young people and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans, guidelines, and preferred methods of communication.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children and young people, either as a support worker or in another healthcare or social care setting.
  • A full UK driving licence, as you will be required to transport young people from time to time.
  • Ability to commute to Rudford, Gloucestershire.
