Behaviour Support Assistant-Secondary Job Opportunity

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant-Secondary to join our team of professionals in secondary schools across Havant. As a Behaviour Support Assistant-Secondary, you will play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behavioural needs, helping them succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in achieving their academic goals by providing tailored support in a classroom environment.
  • Work closely with students in one-to-one or small group settings to promote positive behaviour and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Prepare and adapt lessons to suit students with behavioural needs, ensuring they receive the guidance they require to succeed.
  • Support students in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, helping them overcome behavioural challenges and reach their full potential.
Requirements:
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Education.
  • Previous experience in a behaviour support role or as a Behaviour Support Assistant-Secondary.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work with secondary students, particularly those with challenging behaviours.
