Teaching Personnel is collaborating with a prestigious independent all-through institution seeking a passionate and empathetic Special Educational Needs (SEN) English Instructor to enhance their educational team. This institution features a dedicated SEN facility designed for 15 students facing learning challenges, renowned for its academic achievements and dedication to cultivating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that empowers every learner.

The selected individual will focus on instructing English to Key Stage 3 and 4 students with learning difficulties. Class sizes are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of 6 students, facilitating concentrated and personalized teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering captivating English lessons customized for SEN students.
  • Creating and executing tailored learning plans for individual students.
  • Tracking and evaluating student development, providing consistent feedback.
  • Establishing a nurturing and encouraging classroom environment.
  • Working in partnership with the SEN Coordinator, teaching assistants, and other staff to ensure comprehensive support.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a background in SEN education.
  • Specialization or substantial experience in English instruction.
  • A patient, inspiring, and supportive attitude.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to modify teaching strategies to accommodate diverse student needs.
  • Dedication to promoting a positive and inclusive educational experience.
