Join Our Team as a Junior Early Years Educator

Realise is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Early Years Educator to become part of our dedicated team. As an Early Years Educator, you will receive hands-on training that provides a genuine insight into the day-to-day operations of a nursery.

In this role, you will participate in training sessions with our educational partner while spending the remaining days at your designated nursery location. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting colleagues in delivering the highest standards of care and education for children.
  • Managing daily nursery operations and fostering positive relationships with staff and parents.
  • Contributing innovative ideas to lesson planning to ensure children experience quality learning and development.
  • Collaborating with nursery staff to address children's specific needs and requirements.
  • Adhering to all nursery policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Working closely with your mentor to promote best practices regarding inclusion.

You will also be responsible for observing, assessing, and planning engaging and challenging activities tailored to the individual learning and development needs of the children in your care.

Qualifications Required:
Knowledge of the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and regulatory requirements is desirable. A Level 2 Early Years qualification is preferred for those pursuing a Level 3 apprenticeship. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, along with a passion for learning and developing in a new role.

Training:
Your responsibilities will be clearly outlined by your employer. Realise will provide comprehensive on-the-job training to enhance your skills, with 20% of your off-the-job learning incorporated into your working hours. You will work towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This training will be delivered through Realise, a well-established training provider experiencing significant growth following a management buyout and rebranding in late 2020.

Personal Qualities:
A genuine passion for working with children and the ability to use initiative are essential. A calm and approachable demeanor is also important.
