Key Responsibilities- Assist the payroll leadership team in modifying and enhancing the current payment processes and systems to meet evolving changes and new requirements.
- Support the Payroll Systems manager and Operations Manager in user testing and monitoring the implementation of changes to the payment systems.
- Assist colleagues by disseminating knowledge, conducting training on procedures to uphold outstanding customer service and departmental quality standards.
- Undertake transaction monitoring to protect both the Legal & General and our customers from any financial loss.
- Ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk are embedded into your day-to-day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times.
- Identify areas of improvement and working within our processes and agile framework to take action to continually enhance the customer journey.
- Assume responsibilities of other Grade 4 and leadership roles in their absence, ensuring continuity of service and project progression.
- Prior experience of processing payroll.
- Exposure to payroll reconciliations, exceptions, and variance analysis and resolution.
- Experience in a similar environment working on pension payrolls (10,000+ volume) and reconciliations of payrolls on a B2c and B2b basis.
- Ability to perform analysis and interpretation of financial and technical payroll data for reconciliation and query resolution.
- Good Excel skills is a big plus.
