About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales leader to join our team as a Zone Manager, Northern Europe. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Regional Sales Managers and driving revenue growth in the Northern Europe region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain an all-star sales team, inspiring, empowering, coaching, and motivating Regional Sales Managers to achieve exceptional results.
  • Revenue Growth: Consistently deliver net new revenue targets, ensuring company revenue goals and objectives are achieved quarter over quarter and year over year.
  • Forecasting: Accurately forecast quarterly and annual revenue numbers for the assigned region.
  • Execution: Ensure strong execution of the field-level sales strategy by the RSM team.
  • Distribution Partners: Drive sales growth through distribution partners by supporting their sales and marketing efforts.
  • Field Support: Be a Blackline Safety solution expert and provide field-level support, conducting end-user calls with RSMs.
  • Sales Activities: Direct sales activities within the assigned area, set expectations, provide mentorship, prioritize efforts, hold the team accountable for building pipeline and executing each phase of the sales cycle.
  • Customer Needs: Coach sales teams to uncover customer needs, develop champions, present specific use cases, demonstrate the differentiated value of Blackline Safety's solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources, collaborate with sales engineering, distribution channels, professional services, product management, legal, marketing, and engineering teams to create an exceptional customer experience.
  • CRM: Use CRM systems (HubSpot) extensively.
  • New Distribution: Identify and qualify new distribution as required to ensure appropriate geographic and vertical market coverage.
  • Industry Events: Attend industry trade shows to promote the Blackline brand growth, industry networking, securing new leads, and enhancing relationships with existing clients.
  • Pipeline Updates: Provide weekly pipeline opportunity updates to the Sales Director, Europe, including progress on specific distribution opportunities and status of prospective end-user clients.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Direct and Distribution Channel Selling Experience: 10+ years of direct and distribution channel selling experience is required.
  • Sales Leadership Experience: 5+ years' experience building and leading front-line sales teams; ability to grow and scale upward with the company.
  • Industry Experience: Relevant industry experience with gas detection, safety, or HESAAS.
  • Track Record: Track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas personally and as a sales leader.
  • Leadership and Influencing Skills: Excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both outside and within the organization.
  • Business Planning: Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and developing appropriate solutions.
  • Target Account Selling: Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques.
  • Professional Persona: Highly professional persona and polished demeanor.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills; effective at delivering executive-level presentations.
  • Adaptability: Success adapting in fast-growing and changing environments.

Position Overview:

  • Compensation: Full-time salary plus commission and bonus.
