The VP Powerplant Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in the organization, overseeing a wide range of operational duties related to the transition, trading, and maintenance of aircraft engines across the company's fleet. This strategic position reports to the Head of Technical and requires constant communication with external parties.
**Key Responsibilities Include:**
- Leading technical management for engine portfolios, including underwriting forecasts, valuations, and pre-buy diligence to ensure optimal asset utilization.
- Managing engine lease returns, storage, transitions, and technical delivery to lessees or buyers, ensuring seamless execution and minimizing downtime.
- Ensuring compliance with technical lease provisions, supporting aircraft purchases, and contributing to remarketing efforts to maximize asset value.
- Collaborating with teams and external parties on reporting requirements and reviewing workscopes and maintenance reserve claims to maintain accurate records.
- Assisting in negotiating lease, purchase, and sale agreements to effectively manage technical risks and drive business growth.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a detailed understanding of UK CAA, EASA, and FAA rules and regulations, and continued airworthiness requirements.
- At least 8 years of experience in engine OEMs, airlines, consultancies, or leasing companies, with expertise in lease/purchase agreement negotiations, technical record audits, and engine repair workscopes.
- Strong communication, Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with a culturally aware, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative team player mindset.
