Therapist Specialist in Eating Disorders

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Therapist/Clinical Specialist in Eating Disorders to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Support the operational manager in leading the Intensive Support Pathway, providing line supervision and contributing to the development of our new day program.
- Develop innovative strategies to support young people and their families, and contribute to the ongoing development of the service to enable young people to recover at home.
- Undertake highly specialist clinical work, leading group interventions, and offering senior care reviews and reformulation of cases.
- Work closely with external agencies to ensure the ongoing care provisions of young people.
- Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (psychologist, or family therapist).
- Eligibility for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, ACP, AFT, NMC).
- Extensive experience of working with difficult, disturbed, or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
- Extensive experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people in crisis with complex mental health problems.
- Knowledge of research methodology and outcome research design, and ability to critically interpret research findings.
NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, which will include mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless they are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
