Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Specialist

Role Overview:

  • Responsible for the assembly, repair, and modification of mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems.
  • Engage in the repair and modification of both current and legacy products.
  • Provide technical assistance to Engineers involved in design and development projects.
  • Utilize business systems and processes to document and ensure compliance.
  • Support the development of apprentices and other team members.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Comprehensive understanding of assembly disciplines, including detailed fitting, fabrication, and gearbox assembly.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to specified tolerances.
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety principles.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Lean Principles and the ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience operating Forklift trucks, OHGC, MEWP, or working at heights.
