We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team in Crediton. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager as required
- Ensure that our team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with all mandatory learning and assist with their individual development
- Communicate with the on-site team and raise awareness of individual care plans and their implementation
- Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets, and files to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation
- Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
- Provide support and care to young people within our services
- Encourage young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling
- Travel with young people to and from school or college
- Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home to ensure a wonderful environment for young people in our care
- Organise and facilitate social activities
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger Peoples workforce
- 12 months senior experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable, but we also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey
