NHS Ayrshire & Arran is committed to providing high-quality patient care and is seeking a skilled Anaesthetist to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a Specialty Doctor in Anaesthesia to work in our department, which comprises of 43 Consultants, 15 SAS doctors, 20 Trainee Anaesthetists, and 3 Anaesthesia Associate trainees.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop sub-specialty interests, including perioperative medicine and regional anaesthesia, and will be involved in delivering anaesthesia and perioperative care for a variety of surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering anaesthesia and perioperative care for patients undergoing surgery
  • Developing sub-specialty interests in perioperative medicine and regional anaesthesia
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care
