We are currently on the lookout for a qualified Transport and Plant Administrator to become a part of our supportive team.

Key Responsibilities: As the Transport and Plant Administrator, you will leverage your experience in a similar role to contribute effectively to our operations.

Your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the organization of vehicle inspections, servicing, and MOTs for our extensive fleet.
  • Ensuring compliance with driver training records, license verifications, and vehicle regulations.
  • Managing vehicle-related documentation, including insurance, tax, and toll charges.
  • Overseeing the allocation of internal resources to projects using our IT systems.
  • Monitoring external transport hires and associated costs to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining adherence to purchasing and goods receipt processes for accurate financial tracking.
  • Supporting the maintenance of our FORS accreditation.
  • Generating internal and external hire reports while closely monitoring resource utilization.
  • Collaborating with team members to enhance the overall performance of the Plant & Transport department.

The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who possesses:

  • A solid understanding of transport regulations.
  • Experience in a hire company environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent administrative skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel.
  • A good grasp of customer service principles and a professional telephone demeanor.
