Position Overview
We are looking for a Band 3 Administrator to deliver essential administrative and reception support, assisting Trainees, patients, and visitors within the National Imaging Academy (NIAW). The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication abilities, enabling effective collaboration with a diverse multidisciplinary team across various organizations.
NIAW's core mission is to offer top-notch training to the imaging workforce throughout Wales. Additionally, it serves as a research and innovation hub for diagnostic imaging within NHS Wales, partnering with NHS, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders to explore and leverage research and innovation opportunities in Wales. NIAW also engages in business activities, generating revenue through the hosting of examinations, training courses, and external events.
The successful candidate will collaborate with the NIAW Administration Team and a broader multidisciplinary group, including the Academy Director, Managers, Trainers, and Researchers, to provide comprehensive and effective administrative support. This role is integral to delivering efficient services for training, assessment, research, and innovation initiatives. Furthermore, the post holder will contribute creatively and technically to the marketing efforts of NIAW and its offerings.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing clerical and administrative tasks as needed, supporting the patient journey within the Academy.
The role includes providing extensive administrative and operational support to the Imaging Academy, ensuring smooth daily operations and contributing to the delivery of high-quality training programs aligned with educational objectives and the standards set by the Royal College of Radiologists.
The post holder will greet and guide visitors, including managing reception duties as necessary, and assist patients attending the Academy.
The candidate will support Academy staff and Trainers in delivering safe care for patients within the Academy, utilizing knowledge and skills acquired in the role to assist with Ultrasound examinations and provide patients, caregivers, and relatives with information and guidance regarding appointments within the Imaging Academy.
