Key Responsibilities: Collaborate on the design of systems and components for advanced naval submarines Execute functional design tasks, including modeling and analytical assessments Generate design documentation, verification evidence, and safety justifications Assist in the specification and procurement of components, working closely with suppliers Conduct peer reviews to support engineering governance processes Required Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in rotating machinery design, including gears, shafts, bearings, and couplings, or expertise in fluid systems design, encompassing compressible and incompressible fluid systems, thermodynamics, heat transfer, pumps, and control valves Knowledge of pressure vessel design, including pressure piping and vessels adhering to international standards Understanding of the engineering lifecycle from concept through to disposal Chartered engineer status or actively pursuing professional accreditation Benefits:

About the Propulsion Team:
As a member of the Propulsion team, you will engage in the design and development of propulsion systems across various major components while also specifying and supporting the procurement of propulsion equipment.
This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the early design phases, influencing and advancing the design process. You will collaborate with a diverse range of key stakeholders, and as the team expands, there will be clear pathways for career advancement. Relocation support is available for eligible submarine roles.
